I've been somewhat stoic lately, caught in the middle of a creative boom that has rendered me sort of senseless to the rest of the world. Every day for the last week I have spent close to four hours sewing, listening to the same albums again and again, and reading. Though, I'm not complaining in the least. This is the way I want to spend my time off, productive in the way that I feel best.

Five handbags made and sold. Knitting during the off time and reading during meals. My hands are a little worn out but it's a relief to have it be from something other than excessive typing.

I'm going over to Wednesday's place for a Sew & Sass tomorrow morning which will take up the entire day. I'm packing up my sewing machine and bringing over my fabric with hopes to make at least two more handbags while I'm there. It will be great to do this kind of work around someone who knows a bit more about sewing than I do and even better to be around someone with the same creative mindset as myself.

We discussed it last week and we're going to try our best to meet up at least once a week to sew, knit or go thrifting (if finances allow). I'm still a little giddy at the fact that she's willing to extend this friendship too and it's not just me wishing I could be closer to her. I'm always a little shellshocked when someone decides to like me back.

(It's that awkward twelve year old girl that lurks in the back of my brain telling me that I'm too weird for anyone to like back and I'm destined to be alone forever. Or something. Hah.)

Anyway, that was supposed to be a brief explanation to a lack of updates recently. I've just been preoccupied with other non-computer/non-writing things and it feels really great.

Now it's late and my hands hurt from knitting/sewing/typing. I need to get some sleep.
